According to a survey by the National Business Group on Health and Fidelity Benefits, the average amount employers spent on incentives tied to health grew to $594 per employee in 2013.  This has grown from $430 in 2010, $460 in 2011, and $521 in 2012. This average amount of $594 varied based on the size of the employer, from $595 for mid-market (under 5,000), $493 for large (between 5,000 and 20,000) and $717 for jumbo (over 20,000) employers. This average also varied based on industry:  Energy/Chemicals – $482, Grocery/Consumer Product Manufacturing -$638, Banking/Financial services – $550, Other Manufacturing – $558 and Technology/Telecom -$628.
